Cari Waterbury
Director of Development - West Coast

If you’ve ever met Cari Waterbury, in a business setting or just passing by, you’ll never forget who she is.  Always kind and thoughtful, Cari makes sure that her potential clients are taken care of with a quiet intensity and level of detail that exemplifies what it takes to be one of the top salespeople in the business.

Cari began her career straight out of UCLA film school as an editor for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.  It wasn’t long before she realized how much she loved working with people and that she wanted to make things happen.  Between 1994 – 1999 she worked on The Roseanne Barr Talk ShowThe Martin Short ShowHollywood Squares, The Ananda Lewis Show, The Spirit Awards, The Golden Globes, and The Benefit Concert 9/11 at Madison Square Garden.  She assisted in the start-up of The Dr. Phil Show and went on to manage seven seasons.

In 2008, Cari’s successful career took her to Dallas where she joined AMS Pictures as the company’s Script to Screen Manager.  Here, she managed a staff of more than 20 producers, associate producers, and interns.  After nearly four years as manager, Cari decided to tap into her inner-salesperson and pursue selling television shows to networks.  Most recently, she’s produced Paul Mooney: It’s the End of the World, a 90-minute comedy special for Showtime.
